What Realms are_
Realms stand for every dimension we are capable of co-creating within and with a space we find ourselves in. They are a priori creative, therefore they can be addressed as Creative Realms. Creative realms assume the intersecting points of different overlapping levels of existence, similar to thresholds. |
What is this workshop about_ Participants are led through a series of exercises that provoke their habited state of mind, perception and moving into a state of mind that shifts them from their usual perception and movement habits. Once this has been achieved, they are asked to create out of that position and to understand the space where they are, both inner and outer in a more complex way than before. The experience differs from very practical to very transcendental. Physical body is to be brought in a state of higher awareness in order to perform in the rhythm of creative movement realities that exist and vanish simultaneously. Physical body is in the focus in order to live up with the rhythm of realm we are capable to sense. Where is this workshop held_ Preferably outdoors, in nature, although some exercises can be done indoors as well. The goal of the workshop is_ ...to bring broader understanding of whole realm that is evolving during the performance – the realm created simultaneously by the space, nature, performer and audience, as well to learn to use it as part of a living scenography. |
Spaces often carry specific memories as well as current realities, caused by internal and external factors, as do humans, with their own memories, realities and scope of imagination; upon what they create their lives and creative work. We all live within our range of thinking and artistry. Depending on what a certain participant is interested in, one has a chance to work with the bodily experience of oneself, consciousness of the space, voice and interaction of the mentioned. The intention of the research workshops is to, at least for a bit, to expand that individual and collective scope.
Exercises we are using derive from_
The course and the flux of the exercises I use differ from a group to a group and from space to space. As well as the participants and the space, the exercises are NEVER THE SAME as in previous workshops. Depending on the need of the group, my practice is a combination of something I use in my workshop Movement Realities (Castaneda's Tensegrity or practices borrowed from 20 st century physical theater). Rest of the exercises I created myself throughout my work with Theatre of Inconceivable. I have been as well very inspired by the Gaia touch exercises by UNESCO artist for peace Marko Pogačnik.
