Soundscape narratology uses narrative images to expand the reading perception into a readable soundscape.
That what once was readable becomes audible. Audible in that way that it is almost touchable as a soundscape in which one can enter.
It is a type of inner virtual reality that is already integrated in a human being.
It creates new virtues inside of inner human realities, that’s why: inner virtual reality.
It creates a virtue in an existing reality and it is not created from the outside or from the cyber level, or derived out of an algorithm; it is an inner reality that exists without a gadget, and that can be created only by human action.
It is a reality imprinted in text, expanded by human voice and carried into new existence through sound.
It is these three: the text, human voice and sound that create and carry out the meaning together into a new narrative soundscape.
Soundscape, as a multidimensional reality, adopts the meaning and keeps it alive in a living acoustic scenography. The narration within a soundscape keeps changing its shape and occurrence just as living beings do, continuing the constant flux of life. Within a soundscape texts are alive and the life of texts becomes visible and audible to anyone who listens. The one that listens falls into the soundscape attracted by co-narration of voice and sound.
Soundscape narratology as a project was born out of Text is a Living Being written in 2009, and Living Scenography, a terminology embracing the work of Realms© workshop.
AudAbility technic or Sea-shore in Sea-shell was my first work in Soundscape narratology which is a narrative invitation for expansion of our hearing perception. It was created in February 2019 in Vienna and represents my entrance into Soundscape narratology.
you gotta love what you do, 2020 is another example of Soundscape narratology turning a poem read in two languages into a soundscape created by two female voices and variety of sounds.
